The ‘Outlier‘ Series was inspired by the area surrounding Sydney Harbour. These locations also inspired the great Australian impressionists in their quest to portray the unique light of Australia. In traditional form, this artwork was painted on an original cigar box lid, as was done in the famous ‘9×5’ Impressionist’s exhibition of 1889. This series celebrates the colour and light of Sydney and its harbour.
