The Mussaenda plant is often referred to as the ‘Christmas Bush’, in Fiji. The flower itself is a simple tiny yellow star but the parts surrounding the flower comprise of pale pink, velvety leaves. These leaves can retain so much water on the surface of its petals that it will make the whole tree bend from the weight. Seen here partnered with pink heliconias.
